Katama Compound
A remarkable transformation that exudes modern craftsmanship and timeless design, this Katama renovation project encompassed the complete revitalization of the main house and guest house, along with the removal of the old pool and installation of a new pool and equipment shed. Greenwater Architects meticulously reimagined both the interior and exterior spaces to create a harmonious blend of functionality and refined aesthetics.
The interior features custom cabinetry throughout, with custom veneers on all doors and drawers on the lower level and paint-grade finishes on the upper level. The random-width white oak flooring, stained and finished to perfection, adds warmth and character to each room. In the bathrooms, bespoke design shines through with custom tile floors and shower walls, paired with clear Starfire glass shower doors for a sleek, modern look.
The exterior enhancements are equally impressive. All exterior decks were built with 5/4 Ipe decking, installed with a hidden fastening system, and complemented by a stainless steel cable rail system for unobstructed views. The lower section of the home showcases a vertical installation of 1x6 Western Red Cedar siding, lending a sophisticated natural touch. The focal point of the entryway is a covered roof, featuring standing seam copper, creating an inviting and striking architectural detail.
The plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and Audiovisual systems were completely overhauled, upgrading every aspect of this renovation for modern convenience and luxury.
From foundation to finish, this Katama retreat offers the perfect balance of elegant design and superior craftsmanship.
